AMAC Is Now an Official Transfluid Transmission Repair Center

AMAC has completed Transfluid’s transmission training and is now an official Transfluid dealer and repair center. Our team is qualified to repair Transfluid Revermatic and Rangermatic power shift transmissions for any OEM, customer, or end user. For operations that depend on these units to keep heavy equipment moving, factory-standard repair and service is now available right here in Bessemer, Alabama.
What AMAC’s Transfluid Certification Means
We completed Transfluid‘s official training program on the Revermatic and Rangermatic transmission lines. That certification qualifies our team to service and repair these units to Transfluid’s standards, no matter who originally built or supplied the machine they are installed in. Whether you are an OEM, a direct customer, or an end user running this equipment in the field, AMAC can support you.
This builds on something AMAC has done for more than 40 years. Keeping demanding underground and industrial equipment running through quality workmanship and hands-on experience is the foundation of everything we do, and Transfluid certification is a natural extension of it.
Understanding Transfluid Revermatic and Rangermatic Transmissions
Both units are power shift transmissions built for heavy industrial duty, and each is designed for a slightly different job.
The Revermatic is a power shuttle transmission made for applications that need quick directional reversing and smooth clutch engagement. It uses a hydraulically activated gear unit with a patented soft shift feature, connected to the engine through a torque converter. That setup allows smooth power transfer without a hard mechanical link between the engine and the driven machine.
The Rangermatic is a multi-speed power shift transmission available in one, two, or three speeds forward and one or two in reverse. It is built around a double gear train with hydraulic clutches and the same soft shift technology, which keeps gear selection smooth even while the machine is working.
These transmissions show up in a wide range of heavy machinery, from earth moving and drilling equipment to the kind of purpose-built vehicles that operate underground. When one of these units goes down, the machine it powers goes down with it. That is exactly why dependable repair matters.
The Repair, Service, and Support AMAC Provides
As a certified Transfluid repair center, AMAC handles non-warranty repair, service, and support for Revermatic and Rangermatic transmissions. Our shop is equipped for the teardown, inspection, and reassembly work these units require, and our team has the training to do it right the first time.
Units still under manufacturer warranty continue to be handled directly by Transfluid. For everything outside of warranty, AMAC is now a local, factory-trained option for keeping these transmissions in service.
Why Factory-Trained Repair Reduces Downtime
In mining and heavy industry, downtime is one of the most expensive problems an operation can face. A transmission repaired correctly, by a team trained on that exact unit, gets equipment back in service faster and keeps it reliable longer. Sending a unit to a shop without that specific training often means longer turnarounds, repeat repairs, and more time out of production.
Factory-trained service protects the investment already sitting in the equipment. It is the same thinking behind AMAC’s rebuild and refurbishment work, where a properly restored machine can deliver years of additional dependable service rather than being replaced outright.
