— WHY THE HA SERIES LOCOMOTIVE

Key advantages

Powertrain

Cummins QSB 4.5 Tier III

Tier III diesel driving a heavy-duty power shift transmission through planetary axles, built for dependable traction on grade in underground rail conditions.

Tether-Capable

Work in Tandem

The HA Series can be tethered with other HA Series locomotives, so units work together for heavier trains without additional investment in a larger machine.

Diagnostics

Onboard Control System

A proprietary onboard diagnostics and control system gives operators live visibility into how the locomotive is running, so small issues do not become unplanned downtime.

Safety

Fire Suppression & SCSR

Automatic and manual fire suppression, SCSR and first aid storage, automatic sanding, and LED headlamps on each end.

— Engineered From the Ground Up

Built to your track and haulage

The HA Series can be built to your track gauge, weight class, and control preferences, and it is tether-capable with other HA Series locomotives. We also rebuild and retrofit existing locomotives, including other manufacturers' machines, with HA Series systems as cost-saving upgrades. The HA Series shares its rail platform with the HA Series Personnel Carrier, so both are familiar to crews already running the platform.

Service from the people who built it

AMAC designs, builds, and services the HA Series Locomotive under one roof. Repair, rebuild, retrofit, and parts work are handled directly by the team that knows the machine, quickly and with clear communication. From a single worn component to a full overhaul, you are working with the people who built it.
